Hullo fellow Members. Seems I joined this site some time ago, but as a sign of encroaching age, I had forgotten !
So: I am the middle daughter of Sydney McGregor, 2/22, a victim of the MVM sinking. We three girls were children when our father enlisted, but that doesn't stop us grieving every day of our lives. I watched the documentary with great interest and thought it was beautifully created. I look forward to seeing the DVD.

i think so many people would understand what you say about grieving every day of your life - my grandmother was pregnant with my mother when she was evacuated from rabaul and mum was born not long after grandma reached sydney - i know that mum felt great grief for her entire life over a father that she never met - and i too have felt some amount of grief for years over the grandfather that i never met and know so little about as grandma never spoke about him.

i have just watched the dvd - i thought it was very well done - and i will admit that i did shed a few tears at one stage!
